Deciding whether to undertake a major remodel of our home was a daunting task. It would include a complete gutting of the kitchen and would involve both levels of our house. After much deliberation, we decided to go for it. Thank goodness we went with Larry Meyer’s Construction! From working together on the design process to the final walk-thru, their total professionalism was evident. Even though the project took several months, we never felt displaced and the crew made every effort to be sensitive to our needs. The work site was left clean and organized daily. Our fantastic crew foreman, Doug, kept us on task and communicated regarding every aspect of the project. The scheduling of sub-contractors and delivery of materials was precise. The workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. It was a nostalgic day when the construction trailer left our driveway. We would not hesitate to use LMCC again. Added value: occasionally Doug can be caught singing and doing impressions! 

Amy and I interviewed a number of builders and designers to finish our 2,000-square-foot lower level including game room, family room, and guest space who would maximize the impact our unique space and high 12-foot ceilings. From Bill’s design services until completion of the 7-week project, the Larry Meyer team consistently exceeded our expectations. Our foreman kept us on task and informed and the team always showed up to work when they were scheduled to come. We were to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary in June. Many of our friends asked if we would make it because of the stress of building a home. We did and didn't have a single 'discussion!' When asked if we'd build again, we didn't hesitate. We would do it in a heartbeat if we could use Larry and his wonderful crew and subcontractors. They were great!

We began construction of our river cottage just about a year ago. Because we live about two hours away from the property, we were very concerned about the selection of our builder. Building a house when you are close by is one thing, but a 'long distance' building relationship would even be more challenging. Bill Burton and Larry Meyer organized our decision-making process so that it could be effectively and efficiently carried out. We have been very pleased with the care, detail and high quality of the finished product. The cottage has proved to be even more enjoyable than we had imagined.
